Parameters for point-defect diffusion and recombination
Point-defect kinetics are important for understanding and modeling dopant diffusion in silicon. This paper describes models for point-defect transport and recombination used in SUPREM-IV, and does extensive fitting for the model parameters. The experimental data used are from experiments on oxidation-enhanced diffusion (OED). Interstitial traps are shown to be critical for consistent agreement ...
متن کاملConcentration fluctuations in nonisothermal reaction-diffusion systems.
In this paper a simple reaction-diffusion system, namely a binary fluid mixture with an association-dissociation reaction between the two components, is considered. Fluctuations at hydrodynamic spatiotemporal scales when a temperature gradient is present in this chemically reacting system are studied. First, fluctuating hydrodynamics when the system is in global equilibrium (isothermal) is revi...
متن کاملCosmic Dust Induced Flux Fluctuations: Bad and Good Aspects
Cosmic dust extinction alters the flux of type Ia supernovae. Inhomogeneities in the dust distribution induce correlated fluctuations of the SN fluxes. We find that such correlation can be up to 60% of the signal caused by gravitational lensing magnification, with an opposite sign. Therefore if not corrected, cosmic dust extinction is the dominant source of systematic uncertainty for future SNe...
متن کاملSolutions of diffusion equation for point defects
An analytical solution of the equation describing diffusion of intrinsic point defects in semiconductor crystals has been obtained for a one-dimensional finite-length domain with the Robin-type boundary conditions. The distributions of point defects for different migration lengths of defects have been calculated. The exact analytical solution was used to verify the approximate numerical solutio...
متن کاملFlux and concentration footprints
This special issue is comprised primarily of papers presented at 3rd INTAS (International Association for the promotion of co-operation with scientists from the New Independent States of the former Soviet Union) workshop on ‘‘Flux and Concentration Footprints’’ held at the Hyytiälä Forestry Field Station in Juupajoki, Finland. The workshop attracted scientists from ten countries and it was the ...
